Over Her Dead Body was just the first of several movies Desperate Housewives star Eva Longoria Parker has on tap for 2008. Second is the animated Foodfight!, due out April 11. She discussed her film career, her newlywed relationship with basketball phenom Tony Parker, her new restaurant, and having kids in this recent interview.

Estylo: How did you like voicing an animated character?
Parker: It was so much fun. Foodfight! is about a store that comes to life at night, so all the name brand characters come to life, like Tony the Tiger, and Charlie the Tuna. I’m the generic brand detergent, “Lady X” and I’m trying to take over the store and kill off all the name brands.

Estylo: Has it been hard to launch a film career while on a TV show?
Parker: I thought it would be hard, schedule-wise, but I’ve been really lucky. I didn’t always know that it would work, but I find that the line between television and film has been blurred for many, many years already, with every film star trying to do TV, and every TV star doing film. People have been crossing over for a while so I never feared it, I didn’t expect it, and I hoped that it would go well.

Estylo: You’ve shot a second film with Over Her Dead Body’s Jason Biggs called Lower Learning, set in an elementary school.
Parker: Yes, we had so much fun. It’s a slapstick comedy with witty humor. In the movie he’s loved me since kindergarten, so we have all these flashbacks. I have braces, pigtails, and then ‘80s hair for my prom picture.

Estylo: On Desperate Housewives, Gabrielle and Carlos finally got back together, and then he lost his sight. Any thoughts?
Parker: I don’t know how she is going to react. Everybody wanted them to get back together and here’s this obstacle. I don’t even know if he is going to stay blind. I would like to think their love is really strong. But I wish they’d have waited to air that episode. I think the tornado would have been a great cliffhanger to end on.
