It’s early on a Thursday evening, and Daisy Fuentes is just getting home from a wardrobe fitting for Style Network promo spots in conjunction with her show Ultimate Style. It happens to be Valentine’s Day, and she’s looking forward to having a romantic dinner with her fiancé, British musician Matt Goss, complete with champagne and an apple tarte tatin dessert made by Goss. But romance isn’t all that’s on her mind: these days she’s juggling her hosting work with her signature line for Kohl’s, which has recently expanded to bedding.

“It really feels luxurious. I have it on my bed and the two guest beds and so do my sister and my mom and all my friends,” raves Fuentes, who’s also excited about her summer clothing and accessories collection and the pieces she’s designing for fall.

“Coats and sweaters will still be very hot in the fall,” predicts the model-turned-fashion maven. “The belted look in coats will be a chic look. Trenches will be hot. We’re going more toward a classic look with a touch of edginess, and I think the trend is going back toward a relaxed, very chic, classic, elegant look.”

For someone who loves fashion as much as she does, designing and talking about fashion is a dream come true. “It could not be more perfect,” she says, explaining why as we discuss all the latest developments in her life, and her best bets for summer.
