What Happens in Vegas...
Shades of Britney Spears! Cameron Diaz stars as a young party gal named Joy, who meets Jack (Ashton Kutcher) when both are on a drunken bender in Vegas. They wake up to find themselves married, even though they hardly know each other. The only problem is that Jack also won $3 million the night before with Joy’s quarter...and they must spend six months together as husband and wife as part of the deal to actually get the money. Hilarity, of course, ensues. Coming May 16th from 20th Century Fox Films.
Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull
Nearly the entire cast and crew are back from the first hit film based on C.S. Lewis’s classic and allegorical tale of three British schoolchildren who venture into a fantasy world of mirth, mystery and danger. In this sequel—the second of four planned films—the Pevensie children are called back to Narnia to help Prince Caspian regain his throne after it’s stolen by an evil king. This promises to be one of the summer’s biggest family hits. Coming May 16th from Walt Disney Films.
Sex and the City: The Movie
For the longest time, it looked like this big screen version of the ribald HBO hit comedy series wasn’t going to happen, especially when Kim Cattrall (as the saucy Samantha) refused to join her fellow castmates in a reunion. Cattrall finally said “yes,” however, and she joins star Sarah Jessica Parker (as sex columnist Carrie Bradshaw), as well as spiritual sisters Cynthia Nixon and Kristin Davis in this two-hour movie version. Virtually the whole TV cast is back, including Chris Noth as “Mr. Big,” who married Bradshaw in the series finale, with newcomers including Dreamgirl’s Oscar winning Jennifer Hudson as Carrie’s assistant. Coming May 30th from New Line Cinema.
