Estylo’s own Gerri Miller gets the
scoop
from our favorite stars.

What are the stars doing for the holidays? For a lot of celebs, it’s time to travel,
either to exotic locations or to visit family and friends, while others just want to
stay home and celebrate with loved ones.

Kate Del Castillo will fly home to Mexico City, Ricardo Chavira will be in San Antonio, Texas with his wife and son, Jesse Garcia plans to go home to Wyoming, while Miami is the destination for both Danny Pino and Eddie Matos. Diana Maria Riva is taking her family to visit her parents in Ohio, Roselyn Sanchez and her fiancé Eric Winter are flying to Puerto Rico and Paola Turbay is heading north for a Canadian ski vacation. “It was the only one we could get because we made reservations like two days ago,” she told me. Her Cane mama Rita Moreno will honor a tradition: “I always go to Disney World with my grandchildren and my daughter and I do a marvelous show called Processional with a symphony orchestra and a choir and we tell the story of the birth of baby Jesus with music.”

Other stars are staying put at home. “I prefer staying in L.A. because it’s really quiet,” confided Daisy Fuentes. Eva LaRue will also remain in Los Angeles. “My immediate family gets together at my house on Christmas Eve. We have dinner, and then we’re all allowed to open one present. Everyone crashes here. Then we all get up and cook breakfast and then we go to my aunt’s for Christmas Day.”  Hector Elizondo just wants a little holiday peace and quiet. “I watch where the crowds go and I go the other way. My idea of a good holiday is taking my binoculars and going to the woods to do some bird watching, as long as there’s some good food and a good bottle of wine at night,” he said.

On the shopping tip, Nadine Velazquez planned to get her mom a gift certificate to a spa or some pampering products. “She loves beauty creams.” Ana Ortiz bought her mom a brooch and was thinking about getting her husband jewelry too. “He’s not a jewelry kind of guy but I got him a long gold chain and he wears it all the time and it looks so hot on him,” she said.

As for wish lists, Cane’s Nestor Carbonell wants an iPhone and a new laptop with a built-in Webcam, Constance Marie would love some Erica Courtney jewelry, Jesse Garcia wants a bigger space for his pet reptiles—two snakes, three lizards and two tortoises—and Adam Rodriguez would love some art to decorate his new house. “If Damian Hearst or David Hockney wanted to do a painting for me I’d be more than happy to take that for Christmas,” he said.  Eva La Rue and Michael Trevino's dream gifts have wheels. She wants a 1958 Corvette and he wants an Aston Martin. And busy Mario Lopez’s number one gift comes as no surprise: “To sleep!”
